What do I need to do to prepare for my divination/ ancestral reading?

It’s great to come with questions so our reading can mirror what it is that you’d like to know from your spirits. If you have an ancestor altar, change out your ancestral water on the day of your reading so the message is extra clear.

Are you talking to a specific ancestor or all of them, during readings?

It depends. I can connect with certain spirits if you’re interested in that (and if they feel like chatting). Otherwise readings are typically an overall ancestral sentiment, though it’s important to note that all of our ancestors don’t always agree. 

Can I reschedule my reading?

Yes, please email Juju at least 24 hours before your reading to reschedule. Failure to do so is a forfeit of your payment and you will not be able to reschedule.

What if I’m late to my reading?

Clients have a 10 minute grace period for every reading. After the 10 minute grace period, clients forfeit the reading and will not receive a refund. Readings that start late for client reasons will not be extended unless agreed on by Juju and the client. 

I don’t hear my ancestors, do I not have gifts?

We all have gifts in some capacity, and gifts have to be cultivated just like any other skill. You may not “hear” them...your gifts could be clairsentience, claircognizance or intuition, clairgustance, dreaming, etc! Try changing your ancestor water regularly and create intentional time with your spirits and see what it is that they may need or want. Ask them to come to you clearly in the physical realm so that you understand- and be prepared for however they may show themselves! Of course, booking a reading with a trusted diviner is a wonderful way to hear from your spirits if it’s difficult to do on your own.

Can I mentor under you?

At this moment I do not have an open/public mentorship program set up 

How do I know which tradition to follow?

Divination can help with this process! Of course regardless of African Traditional or Diaspora Tradition, honoring and elevating your ancestors is first!

I don’t know my biological parents or most of my family. Can I still get a reading or honor my ancestors?

Of course you can! You don’t need to know who your ancestors are to elevate or honor their spirits. You may not know them but they know you.

What can I find out from an ancestral reading?

Ancestral readings allow your ancestors to provide you with information, advice, and tools about what’s going on in your life and how you can get the most out of it.
